Coaching Journey
A product of personal experience and over a decade of supporting others.
On the suggestion of friends, colleagues, and family, I decided to "officially" start my own business to continue helping others with the lessons I’ve learned and have been sharing over the years. I've received many requests for coaching and advising across my 13 years of combined experience as a scientist in academia and as a consultant working in the environmental and planning industry. With each person I've helped, I've enjoyed seeing them light up - realizing there's a practical way to get through the challenges and even enjoy and be inspired by the process toward their next step!
I've also continued to teach and conduct research while working in consulting. The journey started shortly after achieving my Masters at Oxford University, and really launched during my Marie Curie PhD Fellowship where I taught and advised practitioners later in their careers, as well as undergraduate and graduate students for 5 years in Germany. This journey has continued up through today with students from a wide variety of fields and with industry practitioners. I have learned a lot through PhD colloquiums about the practical approaches to research and have personally gone through the process of successfully transitioning from academia to industry. I find joy in and will continue today, as I have for many years, to provide career and academic advising.
Finally and most importantly, my coaching journey is fueled by a personal passion to bring hope and guidance to those who feel stuck, to those trying to make the transition, and to those who are figuring out what direction they want to go. It’s a big world out there - you might be surprised by what transferrable skills you have and what you have to offer!
